Message Types

When you opt in to SMS notifications, you may receive:

  • Order confirmations and ticket purchase receipts.
  • Winner notifications when a raffle drawing has occurred.
  • New raffle launch alerts for campaigns you may be interested in.
  • Account and security notifications (such as password reset confirmations).
  • Fundraising updates and raffle reminders, if you have opted in to marketing messages.

Message Frequency

Message frequency varies based on your raffle activity and account events. Most participants receive 1–4 messages per month. You may receive more messages during active raffle periods or when a drawing result is ready.

Rates

Message and data rates may apply. Check with your wireless carrier for details about your messaging plan.

How to Opt Out

Reply STOP to any SMS message to opt out at any time. After opting out, you will receive one confirmation message and no further SMS messages will be sent to that number. Reply START to re-subscribe after opting out.

Consent Not Required for Purchase

Consent to receive SMS messages is not a condition of purchasing raffle tickets, creating an account, or receiving raffle prizes. You may participate fully in EVFD raffles and receive important updates via email without opting in to SMS.

How We Collect Opt-In Consent

SMS consent is collected at two points:

  • Account registration: an optional, unchecked checkbox with full disclosure language. You must actively check the box to opt in.
  • Notification Preferences: the opt-in toggle in your account settings, which is off by default.

Your consent is recorded with a timestamp. You may withdraw consent at any time by replying STOP or by updating your preferences in your account settings.

Carrier Disclaimer

Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.

Privacy and Data Sharing

No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Text messaging originator opt-in data and consent will not be shared with any third parties, except as necessary with service providers who assist in delivering the requested messages (such as AWS SNS). This SMS program is not used for affiliate marketing, lead generation, or third-party promotional campaigns.

Supported Carriers

AT&T, Verizon, T-Mobile, Boost Mobile, Cricket, U.S. Cellular, MetroPCS, and other major U.S. wireless carriers. Not all features are available on all carriers.
